Sir András Schiff Performance Porgramme for Young Pianists Studies with Sir András Schiff, funded by the Ludolf und Sybille Plass patronage

Born in 1999 in Paris, Jérémie Moreau began playing the piano with Françoise Ragon at the age of seven. He studied with Bruno Rigutto and Anne-Lise Gastaldi at the CRR de Paris and then with Denis Pascal at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris. In 2018 he entered the Barenboïm-Saïd Academy in Berlin where he studied for four years with Sir András Schiff. 

He has taken masterclasses with musicians including Daniel Barenboïm, Nicholas Angelich and Jean-François Heisser. 

As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed in major halls such as Seoul Art Center, Théâtre des Champs Élysée, Salle Pleyel, Grand Théâtre de Provence, Boulez Saal Berlin and the Opéra de Bordeaux where he performed with the Orchestre National de Bordeaux Aquitaine. In 2022 Jérémie was nominated as a “Rising Star” at the Victoires de la Musique Classique in France. 

He has been invited by Sir András Schiff to perform a series of piano recitals around in major halls around Europe throughout the 2024-2025 season, as part of his “Building Bidges” program.

Jérémie has been invited to perform in festivals including the Festival International de Piano de la Roque d’Anthéron, Nohant Festival Chopin, Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, Piano aux Jacobains Toulouse, West Cork Chamber Music Festival, Festival International de Colmar, Festival de Saint-Denis, Les Flâneries Musicales de Reims, Nouveaux Horizons d’Aix en Provence.

Enthusiastic about playing chamber music, he has shared the stage with musicians such as Vadim Repin, Renaud Capuçon, Alain Altinoglu, Gérard Caussé, among others. He often performs with his siblings, in particular with David and Edgar with whom he founded the Trio Moreau. Together with their sister Raphaëlle, they released an album with works by Korngold and Dvořák for the label Warner Classics/ Erato in 2020. 

Since 2023, he has been studying in Kronberg Academy's Sir András Schiff Performance Programme for Young Pianists, funded by the Ludolf and Sybille Plass patronage.
