BEETHOVEN-ZYKLUS „CON UN VIOLINO“
The violin sonatas of Ludwig van Beethoven – a composer that even Pablo Casals admired like no other – are among the greatest treasures of classical music. These works are now to be performed in the first of a series of concert cycles paying tribute to individual composers. Violinist Antje Weithaas and her piano partner Dénes Várjon, who have just released their final recording of the full sonata set, will begin performing the cycle at the Kronberg Festival and complete it across three further evenings. The ten “Sonate per il Clavicembalo o Forte-Piano con un Violino” are like ten master narratives – timeless and enthralling music!
