Born in 2002, Hana Chang, has performed in venues across America, Europe, and Asia in recitals and as a soloist with orchestras including the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Radio Symphony, Philharmonie Baden-Baden, Czech Virtuosi, National Theater Orchestra (Prague), Hunan Symphony, and Utah Symphony. She is a laureate of multiple competitions including the 2023 Concert Artists Guild Grand Prize, Stradivarius International Violin Competition, International Louis Spohr Competition, Prague Spring International Music Competition, Beethoven Hradec International Violin Competition, and Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. In 2021, she was awarded the Third Prize and Mozart Prize at the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition and Second Prize and the Special Prize for her interpretation of the commissioned work by Ohad Ben-Ari at the inaugural Stuttgart International Violin Competition. 

Hana has performed at the Rockport Chamber Music Festival, St. Wenceslas International Music Festival, Smetana Litomyšl National Festival, Deer Valley Music Festival, Mladá Praha International Music Festival, and Vevey Spring Classic Festival, among others, and has performed chamber music alongside inspiring musicians including Janine Jansen, Nils Mönkemeyer, Daniel Müller-Schott, and Francesco Piemontesi.

A former student of Ida Kavafian at the Curtis Institute of Music. She plays on a 1647 Nicolo Amati violin kindly on loan from the Rin Collection in Singapore and a fine Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin kindly loaned by a generous patron through J & A Beare and the Beare’s International Violin Society as the prize of the 1st Stuttgart International Violin Competition.

Since October 2022 Hana Chang has been studying at the Kronberg Academy with Christian Tetzlaff. Her studies are funded by the Nikolas Gruber patronage.
