Since her debut at the Ivo Pogorelich Festival in 1993, the Thuringian-born violinist has appeared with many orchestras in Germany, throughout Europe, as well as in Australia and New Zealand.

Elisabeth Weber has been a regular guest at international music festivals, such as Budapest, Schleswig-Holstein and Warsaw.

As an especially active chamber musician, she has been performing in many different ensembles, collaborating with musicians such as Tabea Zimmermann, Boris Pergamenschikow, Isabelle Faust and Gustav Rivinius, or in rare combinations, as for instance together with the cymbalist Luigi Gaggero.

She is member of the Eisler Quartet (founded in 2006) as well as the Orphelian string quartet which performs on period instruments.

Elisabeth Weber concerts have taken her to various great halls such as the Wigmore Hall, the Gewandhaus and the Concertgebouw.

After starting her musical education at the special school of music "Schloss Belvedere" in Weimar, she continued her studies with Antje Weithaas and David Takeno in Berlin and London in combination with many master classes.

Since then, she has been devoting herself to a vast and varied repertoire and to new ideas, especially in terms of contemporary music as well as the historic approach of playing on period instruments.

Several CD’s published by Ars Musici (solo) and CAvi-music (Eisler-Quartet together with the clarinetist Wolfgang Meyer) demonstrate her variety of playing.

In 2006 she was appointed professor at the Musikhochschule Lübeck.
