Tomoko Ichinose

Piano Accompaniment

Born in Sendai, Japan, Tomoko Ichinose had her first piano lessons when she was five years old. From 1995 to 1999 she studied piano in her home town of Sendai. On completing her first degree, she was admitted to a research programme and continued her studies in Sendai until 2001. In October 2002 she enrolled in a graduate programme with Professor Catherine Vickers at Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and from 2004 also took a programme in solo coaching with Professor Eugen Wangler; she graduated with a Master’s degree in 2009. In 1996 she was among the finalists at the Chopin Competition in Tohoku.

Since 2005 Tomoko Ichinose has been a guest accompanist at, for example, the Burgfestspiele in Bad Hersfeld, the Landestheater Schleswig-Holstein and Frankfurt’s Papageno Music Theatre, as well as with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, at Dr Hoch’s Conservatory in Frankfurt and at Kronberg Academy’s Emanuel Feuermann Conservatory. She is in demand as a pianist and chamber musician and teaches at Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts.
