Chamber Music Connects the World, junior

The Australian violinist Leanne McGowan completed the Professional Performance Program at the Australian National Academy of Music before earning her Bachelor of Music at the Colburn Conservatory. She gained valuable experience in numerous masterclasses, including those led by Mihaela Martin, Barnabas Kelemen, and Hagai Shaham. Additionally, she received instruction from renowned artists such as Christian Tetzlaff, Robin Wilson, Vadim Gluzman, and Mauricio Fuks.

Leanne McGowan's musical achievements have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 2022, she received the Australian Music Foundation Nora Goodridge Developing Artist Award and the Aspen Summer Music Festival Fellowship, and she won the Dorcas McClean Travelling Scholarship for Violinists Competition.

Leanne McGowan brings extensive orchestral experience, having been a member of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, and the Colburn Orchestra, among others. Additionally, she has performed as a chamber musician in various concerts and festivals worldwide, including the New York String Orchestra Seminar and the AYO National Music Camp. As a soloist, she has collaborated with the Melbourne Conservatory’s Camerata Orchestra, Fabian Russell’s Orchestra, South Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and Preston Symphony Orchestra.
