Janine Jansen joins Kronberg Academy faculty

World-renowned violinist to assume teaching duties in November

The Kronberg Academy at Casals Forum Kronberg is pleased to announce the appointment of violinist Janine Jansen as professor of violin, effective November 2023. Dutch violinist Janine Jansen is one of the most sought-after musicians worldwide both as a soloist and chamber musician. She works regularly with the leading international orchestras and conductors and has released numerous prize winning recordings. She has founded and is the Artistic Director of the International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht.

„With enthusiasm and joy we welcome Janine at Kronberg Academy. We look forward to her appointment that will be a great inspiration to our students and the audience in the Casals Forum.“ said Friedemann Eichhorn, Artistic Director and Head of study programs.

Kronberg Academy, founded by CEO Raimund Trenkler in 1993, has established itself as one of the leading schools for young soloists. Faculty members include Mihaela Martin, Christian Tetzlaff, Antje Weithaas, Nobuko Imai, Tabea Zimmermann, Frans Helmerson, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt and Sir András Schiff.

Opportunities have likewise been planned for Jansen to introduce herself to audiences in the Casals Forum: she will perform in two concerts together with Gidon Kremer and Kremerata Baltica at the 2024 Kronberg Festival.
