FreundschaftsSpiele – because music connects souls!
Our new concert series, FreundschaftsSpiele, invites you to discover music as a deeply unifying experience. Six outstanding artists from the Kronberg Academy bring their musical friends to the Casals Forum to create four weekends filled with joyful play and closeness - entirely shaped by their own ideas and moods. Each concert weekend becomes a "mini-festival," where humanity and music meet in a unique atmosphere. The boundaries between stage and audience blur as the artists present personal works, inviting the audience to share in their friendship and passion for music. Students from the Kronberg Academy are also involved, bringing fresh energy to these extraordinary weekends.

Programme
Documentary film ‘Dmitri Shostakovich. The Viola Sonata’ (1981, OmU)
The film documents the often endangered existence of Dmitri Shostakovich in the Soviet Union. The directors created their work from archive material, which they edited exclusively with music by the composer. Criticism of Soviet cultural policy and solidarity with the composer, who on the one hand was honoured, but on the other hand was repeatedly harassed and humiliated, is created through the art of montage image/music.
