Bridges Kammerorchester – The composing orchestra. Weihnachten international – Ein Fest der Musik
With its Christmas concert, Bridges Kammerorchester under the musical direction of Alon Sariel invites you on a musical journey around the globe. The focus is on the diversity of global Christmas traditions: In addition to transcultural arrangements of well-known “Christmas classics” from Europe, the Levant region and other parts of the world, the program includes works by famous composers, such as Antonio Vivaldi, as well as original compositions by the orchestra members. There will also be works from the Jewish cultural area for the festival of lights “Hanukkah”.
Bridges Kammerorchester develops its unique Bridges Sound from the diversity of musicians' identities and the tension between tradition and innovation, overcoming borders - between continents, regions and nations as well as between classical and modern music. Christmas International - A Festival of Music celebrates cultural diversity and music as a universal message of peace, hope and joy.
Bridges Kammerorchester – The composing orchestra is a unique orchestra in Europe and has been uniting musicians with their instruments from various regions of the European, Asian and American continents over the past five years. The orchestra members are experts in Arabic, Persian and European classical music, jazz, contemporary music, Eastern European folklore and various forms of Central Asian and Latin American music. Based on their individualities, they compose and arrange their works themselves. The result is transcultural music. Following its debuts at venues including the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and the Leipzig Bach Festival, Bridges Kammerorchester will also be performing at numerous renowned venues in 2025/2026.
