Bridges Kammerorchester. Premiere: Estimate

The Bridges Kammerorchester - The composing orchestra is coming to the Casals Forum Kronberg with its new program Estimate on 7 and 8 March.

The Estimate program takes up the theme of the sun in a variety of ways, from mythological tales from the Persian, Polish and Arabic regions to evergreens such as Sunny by Bobby Hebb and O sole mio by Eduardo di Capua to works that celebrate the lively mood of the beginning of spring. The program includes compositions and arrangements by orchestra members Johanna-Leonore Dahlhoff, Peter Klohmann, Dennis Merz and Walid Khatba. The vibrancy of the Bridges sound emerges in every single work: characterized by individuality and community and the diverse spectrum of timbres of the special chamber orchestra line-up.

The Bridges Kammerorchester will once again be conducted by Bar Avni, principal conductor of the Bayer Philharmoniker Leverkusen since 2021, winner of the La Maestra 2024 conducting competition (Paris), scholarship holder of the stARTacademy of Bayer Kultur and youngest prize winner and scholarship holder of the International Kurt Masur Institute 2021. As a guest conductor and specialist for symphonic repertoire, contemporary works and numerous world premieres, Bar Avni works with internationally renowned orchestras, including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Opolska filharmonia and the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra.

The Bridges Kammerorchester brings together musicians with their instruments from different regions of the world. The orchestra members are experts in Arabic, Persian and European classical music, jazz, contemporary music, Eastern European folklore and various forms of Central Asian and Latin American music. Based on their diverse personalities, the musicians compose and arrange their pieces themselves. The result is transcultural music.

The concerts are supported by the Crespo Foundation and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
